Unison health workers resolve to ballot to fight against the government’s refusal to honour the pay review body’s recommendations

On Tuesday (15 April) delegates to UNISON’s healthworkers’ conference in Brighton voted heavily in favour of moving towards an official industrial action ballot over both the Government’s refusal to honour the recommendations of the Pay Review Body for the NHS and long-term erosion of real pay for a high proportion of the NHS workforce: http://www.unison.org.uk/news/health-workers-vote-for-strike-ballot

And a last minute reminder: UNISON’s consultative ballot over the 1% (real cut) pay offer closes TOMORROW, 17 April, so if you’ve done so already please join the 500 (+) branch members who’ve already voted!
