The long-running fight to save Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield from closure has reached a critical stage with maternity services due to close next month and the A&E before Christmas. Local campaigners, who have had support from Camden UNISON, have called a protest march for this Saturday (26 October), assembling from 1.00 PM at the local War Memorial and proceeding through Enfield Town Centre to the hospital itself from 2.00 PM. (Nearest rail station is Enfield Town on the line from Liverpool Street).
