Following the rejection by members of the pay offer in the consultative ballot, which would have meant a pay rise of just 1% for the vast majority of staff, Unison is to call an official strike ballot to last from 23rd May to 20th June 2014 to see if members authorise industrial action to be called if the local government employers don’t improve their offer.

There is an error in the original posting as the ballot closes on Friday 20 June, not the Sunday the 29th. Further details of the ballot and the NJC pay dispute will be available shortly, both on the Camden UNISON website and in print.
