Cuts in tax credits to hit almost 900,000 people

Unison reports that the cuts in tax credits to low income working families being introduced by the government could hit almost 900,000 people.

Those families working more than 16 and less than 24 hours a week would be affected by the cuts. In a climate where many people are having to work part-time because there are no full-time jobs available or because of childcare commitments, this is more bad news. Unison is calling on the government to reverse this planned change in the upcoming budget.
