Vote ‘Yes’ in our indicative ballot if you want the branch to continue taking a stand against the pay “modernisation” agenda and the new contracts

The Council’s new contracts have downsides for staff, such as a break with automatic nationally-negotiated pay increases, an extra hour per week and a move to “performance-related pay” for many staff. The branch – as agreed at the AGM – will be running an indicative ballot to see if members want to take action to improve these contracts and to press that staff aren’t forced onto them. If the indicative ballot results in a “Yes” then we will ask the national union to ballot us officially in a postal ballot.

Vote”Yes” in the indicative ballot if you want the branch to take a stand and are willing to take industrial action to try and get concessions from management. The ballot is likely to open in the week beginning 2nd April and close on 19th April.
