This is our home page for our campaign for living wage for school meals workers employed in Camden schools, most of whom were paid only the national minimum wage, and well short of the London living wage of £9.15 per hour. We have now won the London living wage for the vast majority of these workers, but some schools are still paying below it so the campaign continues.
The background to the campaign at Caterlink, by far the biggest contract, is here. At Caterlink we have now achieved a minimum pay rate of £9.15 per hour: a pay increase of up to 40% for nearly 300 mainly female workers. But some smaller contractors at other schools still pay well below this, so please continue to support our campaign.
