Text of motion put to Caterlink members’ meeting 9 February 2015
In support of our campaign for the London living wage of £8.80 per hour for workers on the Camden Caterlink contract this meeting agrees to:
- step up our recruitment campaign to try to double our membership on the Caterlink contract
- have one Caterlink worker volunteer to act as a contact in every school to pass information from the union to their colleagues
- step up our efforts to get school support staff, teachers, parents, residents, family and friends to sign the petition in support of the London living wage
- hold a demonstration outside the last full council meeting before the general election, at 6 PM at the town hall Judd Street entrance on Monday 2 March
- hold an indicative ballot for industrial action in support of our pay claim
- recommend and campaign for members vote Yes to action in the indicative ballot
