Annual leave carryover on new contracts reinstated

Camden UNISON is happy to announce that during discussions we have been taking part in with management on the new contract buyout, management have agreed for staff on the new (post-2012) contracts that 5 days annual leave can be carried into the following annual leave year at management discretion.

This brings members on new contracts more into line with members on the old contracts. And this concession was made possible by the large number of our members who refused to sign up to the new contracts, so we thank them for that.

For members still on the old contracts, as it stands management proposals will hit the lowest paid hardest. So advice from Camden UNISON for the time being is that members should still not sign the new contract. We are continuing to hold further discussions with management to try to resolve the situation and will be in touch in due course with more detailed advice.
