Camden UNISON shares with deep regret the news of the sudden and untimely death on Monday 28 December of Anton Moctonian, a long-time NUPE and then Camden UNISON shop steward and Assistant Branch Secretary (Blue Collar).
After leaving the branch and Camden Council’s Housing Department nearly a decade ago, Anton had gone on to become an energetic and much respected tutor in the Unite trade union, though he maintained a keen interest in our branch’s campaigns.
During his time in Camden Anton earned a reputation as a dogged and exceptionally effective representative, both of individual members and whole sections of manual workers.
Our branch’s sympathies go out to his many friends and comrades, but in particular to Vaughan, his partner of nearly three decades. The branch Facebook page and this website will provide details of Anton’s funeral/memorial service once those become available.
