The results of the branch’s consultative ballot on the 1% offer – which will be fed back to national HQ – are:
- REJECT THE 1% OFFER (AND MOVE TO OFFICIAL STRIKE BALLOT): 459 (87%)
- ACCEPT THE 1% OFFER: 69 (13%)
Nearly 87% of members voted to reject on a turnout of 20.4%.
Final results are still awaited from other London branches and regions of the national union, but it’s already clear that with 528 votes cast Camden recorded one of the very highest turnouts in London despite almost all of the balloting period coinciding with the school holidays.
