Our Branch Secretary, George Binette, and other Branch Secretaries, NEC members and lay officials have written to the Guardian to point out misleading implications in its 7th November editorial on the pensions dispute.
They are writing in response to the media chorus that implies that the government has made a significantly improved offer. This is not the case. It is a mere statement of aspirations from the Lib-Dem Treasury minister Danny Alexander, and it fails to address many of the concerns that public-sector workers and their trade unions have with the changes that ministers are trying to foist on us.
